discover the path to wholeness
Affordable in-person and online care for those wrestling with depression, anxiety, and relational difficulties
Life can be hard…
Whether it’s a kind of sadness or worry we can’t get past, relationships that are broken, or ways of coping that don’t seem to provide true relief, we’ve all experienced how “life” can break us down. All too often we find ourselves living a fragmented existence and not experiencing the kind of life we long for and desire.
but it doesn’t have to be this way…
Holos Therapy was created by Ed Moore to help people discover the path to wholeness. In fact, the word “holos” is a greek word that means “whole.”
A different approach…
Ed Moore, Therapist and Founder of Holos Therapy
I created Holos Therapy to help people find hope, life, and God on their way to greater wholeness.
I practice a Christ-informed therapy style that seeks to move beyond traditional “insight-only” counseling in two key ways.
I follow the assumption that God is always at work restoring lives. My role is to help you interpret and navigate how God is bringing about your restoration. Therefore, I am not “technique-driven” but “story driven.” I believe there are stories (life events) that have shaped who you are and reveal how God is at work in your life.
Second, obtaining new insights and understanding provide the beginning steps on the pathway to wholeness. True heart restoration, however, is always relational and experiential. Becoming whole involves shrinking the gap between our head and our heart. As we become whole, we no longer pursue ways of coping and relational styles that hinder our restoration and complicate our relationships.

About Ed moore
Ed started Holos in 2015 after working five years at a group counseling practice. He graduated from Richmont Graduate University with a M.A. in Professional Counseling in 2010. Counseling was a second career for Ed after working two decades in the environmental and business worlds.
His time at Auburn University (B.S. in Environmental Science, 1994) turned Ed into an avid Auburn fan and a fan of college football in general. He is a lucky man in that his wife loves college football almost as much as he does.
Ed also enjoys the beauty of the great outdoors, particularly of the Southern Appalachian region where he lives. He can often be found on the hiking trail or paddling the many area lakes and rivers.
Ed’s faith has always been meaningful to him as he accepted Jesus at an early age. However, as with most people who have been on a faith journey for nearly fifty years, he has had to work out his salvation many times over, finding Jesus over and over again.
Ed and his wife Lynn have two daughters, three grandchildren and a rescue dog named Roxy. Roxy is beloved by many of Ed’s clients because she is known for barreling down stairs while “singing” all the way down to get a belly rub from some of her favorite people.
about holos
I welcome clients to connect online and in-person. I enjoy welcoming clients into a safe and comfortable environment at my home office. In fact, if we do meet in-person, you just might get to meet my rescue dog, Roxie. I offer therapy to men, women, couples, and individuals ages 18 and older for a flat fee of $75/hour. I do not accept insurance. I would welcome the opportunity to walk with you as you journey through the path to wholeness.
